Hunter's First Frosty

Saturday brought sunshine and a little warmer temperatures, so Hunter was determined to get outside. He wanted to play in the snow which was quickly melting much to his disappointment. Scott found a good sized snow drift for him out by the wood pile. Hunter happily scooped snow into his dump truck with his front loader. A little while later he came to the door begging for a carrot to make a Frosty the snowman. I gave him one chuckling. When I next checked out the window, I see Scott and Hunter scraping as much snow together as they could to build a snowman. By the time I got my outdoor clothes on, I had missed the building stage. However, Scott brought Frosty up to the deck and put in eyes and the carrot nose. I found a bright scarf and Hunter was just delighted. I couldn't bring myself to tell him that it will probably melt away tomorrow. He had so much fun building it with dad and was so proud of it. It's adorning our deck now where he can check on it out the window. Doggone it! Now I'm actually hoping for the cold to stick around for another couple of days.
