A Day With Thomas

We took a family mini-vacation last weekend down to southern Indiana to take Hunter to A Day Out with Thomas event. We left Friday afternoon and drove two-thirds of the way. We stayed the night in a hotel, and Hunter was just thrilled. We let him stay up later than normal cuz we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves, and he was having such a fun time hopping from one to the other. We didn't tell Hunter where we were going on Saturday, but as we pulled into this town, he saw the Thomas engine go by the railroad crossing. The scream from the backseat let us know it was a good surprise.
Giving Mom a good pose by a blinking railroad crossing sign in the depot.

Posing with the conductor before boarding the coach car. He later came to collect our tickets.

They have many other activities there for the kids too do, one of which was pony rides. Since Hunter has been into cowboys lately (thanks to Woody from Toy Story), he wanted to ride a big brown one (just like "Bulls-eye"). Well, this one's name was Snickers, and Hunter really liked him.
He got to pick a tatoo at a different activity tent, and he was so excited that they had Percy ("cuz he's my favorite engine")

Posing with Thomas (You could buy professional pics but I am just too cheap. I took my own.)

All of us riding on Thomas' passenger coach, Annie.

I think the unhappy look was from the fact that a parent had to walk beside him (a rule) and he was sure he was big enough to ride that pony by himself. He told me afterwards that he really liked it, although his facial expression certainly didn't portray that.
