Blue's Clues at Church

This past week has been so busy! We had revival services at our church beginning Sunday morning and lasting through Wednesday evening. The guest speaker for the adults was soooo good. I was very challenged in many ways. I also helped two of the nights in children's ministry and was wonderfully surprised and blessed there as well. For toddlers up through kindergartners the church runs a program called "Blues Clues for Jesus". Hunter actually knew about Blue's clues because we have gotten two or three videos from the library over the last two or three months. He has been looking forward to it for weeks. They had the thinking chair and signs up outside his class for about three weeks now, and I snapped the above picture of him one Wednesday evening. Sunday morning he came running down the stairs shouting, "Today is the day when Blue and Magenta come to my church. Yeah!" The last night I remembered to stick my camera in my purse and snap a couple of pics of the beginning of the children's service. Even though you can't see Hunter, I still think it is neat to see all these 2-5 year olds sitting spellbound taking in a message from God's Word.

Blue and Larry greeting the kids. Hunter colored the picture of Blue that is on the purple wall back behind Larry's shoulder. He gave it to Blue the first night and was so excited the second night to see that Blue had hung it on his wall. (It may even have beaten Mom's refrigerator.)
Adoption update: I was finally able to get the letter from my doctor that the InterCountry Adoption Board (ICAB) was requesting in the Philippines. It was emailed over to be attached to our dossier. Now we are hoping that we will be accepted by ICAB as prospective adoptive parents, but we probably won't hear anything for sure for a few weeks. We have no adoption class in March, but I am working my way through a couple of books on the Philippines so stay tuned for some posts sharing fun facts about this fascinating country.

either that's a small thinking chair or your kid is getting BIG!
