Crazy Life and blog avoidance

Well, my life has been a little bit crazy so I've been avoiding the blog. Funny how I do that sometimes. Blogging is usually fun, but sometimes it just becomes a chore. Here is a summary on some things that have been going on:

Hunter - I took him back to the plastic surgeon two weeks ago to have a second evaluation for the mole (hairy nevus) on his face. It has been there since birth, and for the last six months, every doctor we have seen, including the dentist, has told us it should come off soon, definitely well before he starts school. The PS could schedule us for surgery this past Monday which in all honesty was good for us. It was so fast it didn't give Hunter or myself a lot of time to worry and be upset. So Monday morning, Hunter underwent a 45 minute surgery. He currently has a line of stitches running from the corner of his mouth down and along his jaw for about 2 inches. It is a little puffy and bruised, but he is bouncing right back. He seems to have no pain, is eating fine, and running around playing like nothing has happened. He goes back Friday to get the stitches out. I am not posting pics to give him privacy and healing time.

Adoption - We were informed today that our homestudy is complete and turned in to the agency. The next step is to apply to immigration. The I-800A is a 16 page document that I have downloaded from the Department of Homeland Security. Luckily we only have to fill in pages 1-9. I bravely started it; ran into questions; got answers from our agency that what I have filled in I did wrong. Thankfully it is saved on the computer, and I can change it pretty easily. We were also told that it would probably take us an extra year to apply only for a sibling group which we were very interested in doing. Therefore we left our paperwork as open to one child or a sibling group of two and are relying on the Lord to decide what is best for us. Hunter very much wants a little sister, so you all can be praying about that too. A higher percentage of the children available from the Philippines are boys. So God either needs to get a girl ready for us or change Hunter's heart to be excited about a little brother.

For those of you suffering from the winter blahs, start planning for a summer vacation. Scott's family has started doing that and it has been a lift to think about lakes, boats, and sunshine. Winter is halfway over; spring is on it's way. I noticed today that the sun was still shining brightly at 5:30pm. Yeah!
