Goggles, goggles, everywhere!

This summer I found a snorkel set at a garage sale and bought it thinking we might have some fun with it in the pool. Hunter found the mask again a couple of weeks ago, and they have suddenly become a favorite toy. They are on at all times of the day and sometimes it is even an argument to wear them when we are going somewhere. He even wore them to the park one day, as you can see in the above picture. Apparently age three is really a time of exerting independence, at least it seems to be for Hunter. He even started to tell me that he needed to wear them to storytime at the library last week. He was going to pair them with his green froggy rainboots. I finally got him to compromise with me. He wore the green froggy rainboots to storytime and left the goggles home. Whew! However every time we venture out in public with something like this going on, I just love the stories that other mothers feel the need to share with me. At the library, one mom told me how her son, around the same age, wanted to wear nothing but his boots. She has a picture that she is saving for his high school graduation of him riding his toy Harley motorcycle with his boots and NOTHING else on! It's nice to know that we are not alone.
