Deere and deer for my Dears

Well, we've talked about it long enough...it was high time to put some actions to our words. We are changing Hunter's room to a "Big Boy" Room which basically means giving him a big bed, taking down all the baby/nursery stuff, and putting up tractor things. We got his bed together, and I had ordered John Deere sheets because that is what he really wanted. They came in the mail today, and within 5 hours of being delivered they were washed, dryed, and put on the bed. It would have been less time, but I got groceries while he was napping this afternoon. Don't worry, I didn't leave him by himself. Scott is home for some deer hunting this week...but I digress. We still need to hang the tractor pictures, and I need to finish the tractor quilt I am making for him. Yes, I said quilt. I have been sewing like crazy all week, and my mom is going to come down and help me figure out borders and piece it together on Friday. I'm a little nervous cuz this is my first real quilt, so I am trying really hard to keep it simple. What will probably take me the longest is all the hand stitching. I will take volunteers to come and stitch with me!!! Anyway, Hunter has a nice fleece throw that just fits the top of the bed so that is what we are using for a blanket for now.

For any of you who read this in the next week, I have a prayer request. It may sound a little silly but God wants us to rely on Him for all our needs. If He can feed the masses with 5 loaves and two fishes, certainly He can feed 3 people with one deer. Yes, pray that Scott gets a deer. Our freezer is feeling a meat void right now, so I see this as a need, not just a greed. Scott has seen a really nice buck a couple of times, but both times it has been in hot pursuit of a doe. I guess it would rather chase a pretty girl than stand still and get shot. Go Figure!!! Hunting season lasts a couple more weeks so lift up those petitions, please, and I'll keep you posted.

he's growing up so quickly! doesn't that sound like a grandparenty thing to say :)
I do like the new bedroom outfit tho- except it's the wrong color!
(that's really a (neild) grandparenty thing to say)
