Language Development

Still working on the house...got a lot done Saturday and found out Scott has Monday off. Ugh Yeah... more time to work.  I'm thankful for the time but already getting a little tired of our "project".  The push is on to get the upstairs done and carpeted.  Once that is done, we can take a little breather before buckling down again on the downstairs.  Our goal is to have the upstairs done by the end of March. That way, if by any slim chance we get our invitation to travel to the Philippines in April, we'll be ready.

I do have to share a couple of quick stories about Hunter-isms.  One day this week, I told him I would carry a couple of his toys upstairs for him. In all seriousness, he looked over his shoulder and said, "I really appreciate you doing that for me, Mom." My mouth dropped for a second, although I quickly recovered with a "You're welcome."  Let's hope he remembers to say that when he is 13!

Another day, he was calling for help in the restroom.  I answered that I was on my way to which he yelled back, "But compare to plug your nose."  I laughingly tried to explain the difference between compare and prepare but am not so sure he really  got it.  Oh well, all too soon he will get it and those cute little mess-ups that come from learning words and how to use them will be sorely missed.

Below are a couple of pics on how Hunter has been occupying himself while Mom and Dad are painting and staining.

We have so much more snow now...this was one of the early snowfalls a few weeks ago.
