Farmin' Fun

What a day of farming we had yesterday. First, we had to run an errand to TSC to get Dad some lawnmower oil. Who knew that a five minute stop would turn into a twenty minute funland better than Chuck E. Cheese or a toy store. Well, to my son, that's just what it became. Between all the kinds of tractors to try out and the John Deere shirts and varieties of "farm boots"(which are actually rain galoshes), it was the store of his dreams, I think. Then to top it all off, they had little pens of chicks and ducklings. Hunter thought it was petting zoo time. After holding a chick and singing "Happy Birthday" to a duckling, we finally made it out of there only by convincing him that Grandpa Neild was waiting for him because he needed Hunter's help to go get some baby pigs. I never thought I would have needed my camera in the Tractor Supply Store, but I certainly now regret not having it with me. I definitely need to get a cell phone with a camera!

We did go get baby pigs with Grandpa Neild. It was actually quite neat. The baby pigs made so much noise Hunter was a little unsure at first but he did think they were cute. The farmer even took us in to show us some piglets that were just a day or two old.
